Classic Beef Burger
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons Italian breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 hamburger buns
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 large romaine lettuce leaves, halved
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon oil
Preheat CHEF-BUILT Cast Iron Panini Grill to 425 F.
In a bowl, mix the ground beef, egg, Italian breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper together.
Roll together 4 burger patties and set aside.
Add oil and sauté onions on the grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes and then remove from grill.
Add the burger patties to the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare burgers.
Remove the patties from grill and add the buns for a minute or less until toasted.
Take the buns off the grill to assemble the burgers with the beef patties, sautéed onions, tomato slices, lettuce and mayonnaise.
